Dr Jordan Nguyen

Founder and ceo – Psykinetic

Dr Jordan Nguyen is a leading Australian engineer, inventor, and innovator, who is committed to improving as many lives as possible, and becoming a driving force behind both human and technological evolution as we move into the future.

An internationally renowned engineer for humanity, Dr Jordan designs life-changing technologies to transform the lives of people with disabilities and the elderly through his role as founder of Psykinetic, a social business creating futuristic, inclusive, and empowering technologies to improve independence and quality of life for disability, aged care, and beyond.

Author of A HUMAN’S GUIDE TO THE FUTURE (with Pan Macmillan), Dr Jordan is also an award-winning documentary maker and presenter. In 2016 he collaborated with the Australian based production company, The Feds, and the ABC Catalyst to create and present his first TV documentary Becoming Superhuman, which went on to win many prestigious awards both locally and internationally. He has also presented numerous documentaries with Discovery Channel and National Geographic – including Frontiers of Science, Smart China Start-up Revolutions, Vietnam: Connecting East Africa, and Tibet: Living On The Roof Of The World.

Inspired by human endeavour, Dr Jordan has big ambitions to see our world step consciously and creatively into a better future.

Linda Dawson

Deputy Director General - Industry, Science, and Innovation
Linda Dawson is a senior executive with more than 25 years’ experience working in large Australian and multinational organisations across the resources and utilities sectors. Over Linda’s career she has led corporate services, community development, human resources, health safety and environment, corporate affairs and operational functions. Linda currently works for the Department of Jobs Tourism Science and Innovation in the Western Australian Government, as Deputy Director General Industry Science Innovation. Linda has a strong belief in equality and respect for all in society, learning from our First Nations people, empowering women and giving back to the community. She has been a Chair of the MCA Indigenous Community of Practice, mentor with WIMWA and a past Chair of the CMEWA Pilbara Regional Council. Linda is currently a Board Member of Workpower, Vice Chairperson of Midland Women’s Health Care Place and a Member of the Sir Charles Gardiner and Osborne Park Hospital Human Research Ethics Committee. She holds a Masters of Education and Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Western Australia, is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Certified Professional of the Australian Human Resource Institute and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.

Dan Bowen

Microsoft Technology Strategist

Dan Bowen is a seasoned Technology Strategist with a passion for education and empowering schools through innovative solutions. His journey began in education, where he served as a teacher, governor, and school inspector. Dan’s deep understanding of educational systems informs his strategic approach to technology adoption.

As a blended learning advisor in higher education, Dan explored effective integration of technology in classrooms. His work at Microsoft has been diverse, including product management for Office 365 in Education, STEM education initiatives, and managing the Minecraft portfolio for Australia. His contributions have shaped educational technology landscapes.

Dan’s interest in artificial intelligence (AI) extends beyond its technical aspects. He is passionate about its social and ethical implications in education. As a Technology Strategist, he focuses on leveraging AI to drive educational transformation. Dan believes in empowering IT professionals to harness AI’s capabilities responsibly.
